Wave Consulting was founded by David Tessier in 2023. David worked in the A&D industry for 25 years in various roles ranging from sales, engineering & product development, manufacturing & supply chain, and finally general management in several private & public international A&D businesses.
David is an Aerospace industry veteran with 25 years managing a high mix of proprietary avionics products. David’s last role was to serve as President of Mason Controls from May 2016 through October 2022, a leader in human machine interface solutions, and a subsidiary of the Transdigm Group.
David joined Mason Controls in 2016 as Vice President & General Manager, and was promoted to President in 2018. With the mission to turn the company around, David took Mason from negative to positive EBITDA. Three years later, the company had grown 60% in top line with ~40% EBITDA as a percent of sales.
Prior to joining Mason, David spent fifteen years in roles of increasing responsibility ranging from sales to program management, operations leadership, and eventually general management. The majority of David’s career experience has been in tier-1 aerospace corporations designing and manufacturing complex components and systems for all major OEMs.
David is a culture-focused leader who drives results from getting the best of everyone on the team. In 2014, he was appointed the operational leadership responsibility of Esterline’s $120M Power Distribution Business and doubled EBITDA in two years. This was achieved by transforming the culture to be more people focused across two international manufacturing sites. With the cultural change, David was able to drive the implementation and adoption of Toyota Production System based lean manufacturing strategies.
David is a genuine, fast-paced leader. He has a passion for communication and builds strong relationships at all levels of the organization. His inspirational style enables large groups of people to follow him towards a goal. As a straightforward, non-political leader, he strives to build teams and make them win.
David graduated from ESTA (Ecole Superieure des Technologies et des Affaires) in France, a semi-private college created by Alstom SA & Peugeot Groupe PSA, and holds the equivalent of a Master Degree in International Business and Technology.
A native of Strasbourg, France, David speaks French, English and German, and lives with his wife and two daughters in Los Angeles, California.
